Since 2017, 17 books and one ex-libris could be returned to the Grand National Mother Lodge "The Three Globes" (Große Nationale Mutter-Loge zu den drei Weltkugeln). The restitution was made in cooperation with the Bavarian State Library and the Leipzig University Library, which also restituted books to the Lodge.

The books identified in the stock of the Central and Regional Library of Berlin (ZLB) are from a depot of the Reich Main Security Office (Reichssicherheitshauptamt, RSHA) at Eisenacher Str. 11-13 in Berlin Schöneberg. The RSHA had collected looted books from all over Europe there. After the end of the war in 1945, parts of these books were distributed from a salvaging operation (Bergungsstelle) to Berlin libraries.

The ZLB would like to thank the German Masonic Museum in Bayreuth and the Association of European Masonic Museums, Libraries and Archives for their support in returning these books.
