In 2017, a book from the library of Talmud Thora Ez Chaim e.V. was handed over to the Stiftung Neue Synagoge – Centrum Judaicum in Berlin.
Talmud Thora Ez Chaim was a private Torah school in Berlin, established in 1918 at Grenadierstrasse 31/32 (now Almstadtstrasse 16). Nothing is known about the circumstances of its removal; the school is last listed in the Berlin directory in 1937.
The volume bears a stamp of the Berlin City Library (Berliner Stadtbibliothek), which was in use from around 1940 until at least the mid-1950s, but contains no further information regarding the book's provenance or the date of its acquisition.
