Since 2014 two books from the library of Simon Staub could be returned.
Simon Staub was born on 6 October 1867 in Gleiwitz. He was a merchant in Breslau where he lived together with his wife Martha Staub née Cohn. They had five children.
On July 27, 1942 Simon and Martha Staub were deported from Breslau to Theresienstadt. Not one month later, Martha Staub died there. Simon Staub was further deported to Treblinka and murdered.
No conclusions can be drawn about the accession of the volumes; they were part of unprocessed stock and do not contain any indications of the supplier or intermediate owners.
