In 2016, a loose bookplate by Julius Arnfeld was returned.
Julius Arnfeld was born on April 25th, 1875 in Bad Polzin. He was a director, actor and photographer and lived and worked in Hanover, Wroclaw and Berlin.
On August 13th, 1942 Julius Arnfeld was deported to Theresienstadt concentration camp. He survived the camp and was liberated in May 1945 by the Red Army. Julius Arnfeld died on November 26, 1957 in Epsom, England.
The bookplate was in the Berlin City Library Ex Libris collection, it is unknown how and when it was entered into the library's stock.
