In 2015 a book from the library of Arthur Rubinstein could be returned.

The pianist Arthur Rubinstein, who was born in Łódź in 1887, lived in Paris until October 1939 before he and his family escaped to the United States and thus survived the Holocaust.

It is unclear how the book was entered into the stock of the Berlin City Library, but it is assumed that it was part of the Rubinstein family's household effects that were confiscated by the Einsatzstab Reichsleiter Rosenberg in Paris.

dedication by the author of the book, Ronaldo de Carvalho, suggests that the volume was presented to Rubinstein during his stay in Rio de Janeiro in around 1920.
