Luise Zickel

Luise Zickel was born on 25 October 1878 in Breslau. She was a teacher in Berlin. In 1911 she founded a Private Girls' Higher School ("Höhere Privatmädchenschule") in Berlin-Schöneberg, later "Private Higher School for Boys and Girls and Jewish Elementary School". In Nazi Germany she was persecuted as Jewish, her school was forced to close in 1939. Like her sister Anna (born on 7 April 1883 in Breslau), Luise Zickel was deported from Berlin to Riga on 25 January 1942 and murdered.
