Hugo Bing
Hugo Bing was born on 28 July 1874 in Baden near Vienna, as the son of Nathaniel Bing (1844-1893) and Josefine Frisch (1851-1916). He was a merchant and was living in Berlin since at least 1915. In 1916 he married Toni Benjamin, a native of Berlin, born on 21 December 1885. Hugo and Toni Bing were persecuted in Germany as Jewish. Hugo died in Berlin on 20 December 1940. Toni Bing was deported to the Litzmannstadt Ghetto in 1941 and from there to the Kulmhof extermination camp in 1942, where she was murdered.
Hugo and Toni Bing had two children: Heinz Anton Bing was born in Berlin on 29 May 1917 and died there in 1936. His sister Ruth (*18 November 1920) was able to escape from Germany in about 1939 and survived the Holocaust.
