Alfred Felbel was born on 17 November 1906 in Schroda. He later became an authorised signatory in Berlin, where in 1932 he married Frieda Asch, who had been born on 18 November 1895 in Poznan. The couple had two daughters in Berlin, Luci, born on 27 October 1932, and Gina, born on 30 November 1935.

The Felbel family was persecuted as Jewish in Nazi Germany. On 27 November 1941, Alfred, Frieda, Luci and Gina Felbel were deported from Berlin to Riga and murdered on 30 November in the Rumbula massacre.
