Alfred Einstein's exlibris

Alfred Einstein was born in Munich on 30 December 1880. He first studied law and later musicology. He worked as an editor, music critic and from 1927 - 1933 editor at the Berliner Tageblatt. In Nazi Germany Einstein was persecuted as Jewish. He left his home country in 1933 and lived in England, Italy, Austria and Switzerland until he finally emigrated to the United States in 1939. There he taught as a professor at Smith College in Northampton until 1950. He then moved with his family to California. Alfred Einstein died in 1952.
